I
have
known Jenny Heifetz a.k.a. Jenners for 10 years now. Jenners and I met at my first PEP/LA (Peer Education
Program of Los Angeles) meeting. Jenny was one
of the most dedicated educators I have met.
We had fun speaking at numerous events together.
We enjoyed many fun times together as well.
One of those 'fun times' came shortly
after my battle back from heart disease and
her and Erin convinced me to ride "Riddler"
the rollercoaster at Six Flags Magic
Mountain together.
What a great leap of faith and friendship that
proved to be. Jenny really helped show me how
to LIVE again. Whenever I was sick or down,
she was one of if not the first to offer anything
she could to help. In 2001 Jenny went on to
Smith College, making the promise to stay committed
and to stay in touch with me. She has done just
that. No matter where our life journeys have
taken us from Wisconsin to Europe, we have remained
in contact. The love and hope that Jenners shone
upon me, in my toughest of times, remains a
constant source of light and strength in my
life.
I fortunately was able to see her, 'live
and in person,' on 3 occasions in recent years.
She is as beautiful, vibrant and full of hope
and energy as ever before. Thank you Ms. Heifetz
for your unconditional love and support I am
forever grateful to you.
