My angel Romi Simmons
Que
Papi?! |
|
|
|
We've never
had to look far to find our angels.
Angels have never really been out of
reach. We can always discover angels
from the inside-out, because it is the
angel inside us who can point the way
to all our other angels.

Thank you
Romi!

Hey,
It was great to talk to you today. It's just amazing to
talk to someone who is familiar with living with HIV and
all the good, bad and challenges that come with it.
Thanks for all you do.

| Romii
Simmons came into my life in 1999. We met through the
National AIDS Marathon in
Los Angeles. Romi
redefines compassion. She is a beautiful and
caring woman who has given so very much to the
cause of
HIV/AIDS, let alone to me. She has
ridden in the
California AIDS Ride in memory
of her dear friend Dean who succumbed to AIDS.
She has run
in numerous AIDS
Marathons as well. I don't
know too many individuals who go to those lengths
to keep a friend's memory alive. Romi and I
have shared a special bond from the time we
met. Whether it was salsa dancing or sharing
tears on the
AIDS Ride, the memories I keep
are priceless! I am thrilled that we have been
able to keep our connection across the miles.
I have had the good fortune to see her here
in Milwaukee in 2004 as well as in Los Angeles
three times since 2005. In some of my darkest
times, it's the thought of knowing that dear
friends like Romi are in my heart and on my
side that truly helps to keep me going! In August
of 2006, Romi and our dear friend
EG
Daily paid a much welcome visit
to Camp Heartland in Malibu. It was a day to
never forget! I am eternally grateful
for your presence in my life Romi! Your
unconditional love and compassion fill me with
immense gratitude! You are truly my Angel and
I love you so much!
I'll never forget,
'Someone Saved My Life Tonight!'
