"There is something about the proximity
of death that helps us discern the
important things in life..."

I met Victoria Huss when
I moved to Madison in
February of 2004. I've
had the distinct pleasure
to develop such a wonderful
friendship with this
beautiful, talented,
and compassionate young
lady. She has participated
in two AIDS Rides here
in Madison. She pedaled
over 400 miles in the
first ride and was on
the steering committee
for the ACT II AIDS
Ride. Mind you, neither
task is small by any
means. Have you ever
hopped on a bicycle
and just gone for a
400 mile ride? Have
you ever given up your
entire summer to see
that the others lives
are improved by your
generosity and kindness?
She too has given me
so much in the short
time I've known her
and done nothing but
encourage me to believe
in myself and the fight against HIV/AIDS that we both
care so very much about.
It is such a pleasure
to befriend someone
who discerns what is
truly important in this
life. Thank you Victoria
from the bottom of my
heart for all your love
and support and for
your commitment to those
of us living with HIV/AIDS! |
