I was honored to have received a scholarship to the 2005 NATAF conference in Oaxaca, Mexico last November. With hundreds of participants from around the globe, it proved to be a wonderful learning experience. We were provided with translation, food, entertainment and accommodations.  It was such a treat to see my friends from ATAC as well as from C2EA. I also roomed with my friends Mary and Theresa who helped me tremendously in my translation. Hablo muy poco español. Thank you Mary and Theresa! The conference supplied a wide variety of treatment, care and advocacy issues by some terrific presenters from the United States and Mexico. It was also a nice opportunity to network and meet some incredible new friends. The people of Oaxaca were absolutely welcoming and the sights and shopping were plentiful. On Wednesday morning I joined Dayon and Claudia on a visit of a lifetime to the ruins of Monte Alban. I can't even begin to tell you what a beautiful and spiritual place this is!
